Shayn Amber was born in wilds of the Arizonan desert and raised by a pride of mountain lions. She spent her days hunting and hanging out with her pack.

One day she befriended a coyote. This coyote was close with a local American Indian tribe. The coyote took Shayn Amber along to the tribe one night. The Indians were wary at first but seeing as Shayn Amber was a friend of the coyotes, they eventually got used to the idea.

Shayn Amber and the coyote would sit around the campfire with the tribe while the tribe's members took turns storytelling. The wise old chief was always the last to tell his story and even though the storytelling went on into the late hours of the night - everyone stayed up to listen to the chief's stories as they were always the best. The Indians would always give the coyote and Shayn Amber their scraps. The coyote was fond of howling at the moon and Shayn Amber too became quite fond of it. These are fond memories to Shayn Amber.

At first her cat family disapproved of all this, until she came up with the idea of her pride working with the coyote pack to improve the hunt. On the hunt the coyotes and the mountian lions were unstoppable. Soon they ran out of game to hunt and grew hungry.

It soon came time to venture to new lands in search of new game. The coyotes and mountain lions travelled for days looking for a suitable spot until they came across a large number of sheep behind a barbed wire fence. The pack thought that they had found heaven. One by one sheep were disappearing and the farmers took notice.

One day the farmers waited up all night with their rifles. When the packs eventually showed up - they noticed Shayn Amber - a human amongst the lions and coyotes. She was naked, dirty and vicious. She was in her teens and didn't speak a word of human speak. She growled and howled - liked she learned from the packs she lived with.

The farmers decided to let the animals live as Shayn Amber protected them like family. There was an agreement around the town to let them live and feed them scaps but to get them fixed.

Shayn Amber lived with a foster family from then on where she learned to speak English reasonably. She visited her family of lions and coyotes daily and made sure that they were well looked after.

It was rumoured that Shayn Amber was left in the desert by the infamous couple Micky and Mallory when they were hiding out from the law in the desert.

One day when she was in her 20s she fell in love with an Australian man named
Tim Wetherell and decided to move to Australia. She goes back now and then to visit her family and tells them stories of the abundant game in Australia - the kangaroos, camels, rabbits etc.

She married the Australian guy and lives happily with him. He puts up with the occasional bite and has found that a meat scented chewy toy usually helps to keep the bites at bay.

She and her husband are artists and although they work mainly on separate mediums - they compliment each other and work on projects together.

Shayn Amber enjoys making art, listening to music, watching movies (which remind her of the Indians telling stories around the fire), subcultures, bees, decorating and improving her dwelling.
